For this event, specialist art dealer, writer and broadcaster Philip Mould hosts a private view of the exhibition currently showing at his London gallery, and presents the recently announced discovery that is the long-lost portrait of Charles Dickens painted in 1843 by Margaret Gillies. The evening also features a seated talk in which he will offer some insights into some particularly memorable portraits in British art.

Philip Mould, who has been a specialist in this area for more than three decades, works closely with private collectors and institutions to help build their art collections. He also co-hosts the investigative television show Fake or Fortune? with Fiona Bruce on BBC One.

This event has been organised by the London Fundraising Committee Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
