A colourful look at Andy Warhol’s early textile career.
Before he was known around the world as a Pop Art icon, Andy Warhol began his career designing for adverts during the 1950s and early 1960s. Since then, he has been the subject of countless exhibitions.
For the first time in Scotland, an exhibition at Dovecot Studios is exclusively dedicated to his commercial textile designs. Andy Warhol: The Textiles will take viewers on a journey through the unknown and unrecorded world of designs by the influential artist, showcasing over 35 textile patterns from the period.
