Visit to Henbury Hall and The Mount

| Henbury Hall

Sebastian de Ferranti will show visitors around his private neo-Palladian house, built in 1984. This hall is the perfect place to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the birth of Palladio. No architect has had greater influence on English architecture than Palladio and when Sebastian de Ferranti decided to build his new house, he based it on Palladio's famous Villa Rotunda in the Veneto. There will also be an opportunity to look around his wonderful garden. This is considered to be one of the finest houses in Cheshire.

Bring a picnic lunch to eat in the garden (or there is a pub nearby if you prefer).

After lunch, Nicholas Payne will tour around his delightful, but smaller, private house and garden - The Mount. Tea will be served afterwards.
