Blending women's art from two collections, spanning a century of diverse practice

Drawn from two of the UK’s leading art collections, The Women’s Art Collection and The Ingram Collection, A Spirit Inside showcases artistic works spanning a century. Focused on the theme of 'spirit,' women and non-binary artists delve into mythology, internal reflection, and external, often political, expression.

Notably, it marks the inaugural collaboration between the Women’s Art Collection, Europe’s largest female artist compilation, and galleries beyond Cambridge. This union widens access for the British public to witness pivotal 20th and 21st-century works. The exhibit, featuring major names such as Leonora Carrington and Bridget Riley, promises a captivating exploration of diverse artistic expressions.
