100 years of modern and contemporary art from North Wiltshire, with all works acquired to ensure the museum’s collection represents the area’s creativity.
This exhibition brings together nearly 100 years of modern and contemporary art from the collection of Chippenham Museum. All the works included have been acquired by the museum in the past five years with the aim of ensuring the museum’s collection better represents the amazing creativity found in North Wiltshire.
The museum would like to thank all the artists and funding organisations who have helped make the collection possible, including Art Fund's support for the aquisition of William Brooker's Studio Interior with Nude (1953) which features in the exhibition.
Famillies can be Art Detectives whilst exploring the exhibition by visiting the museum’s website to print or download a trail ahead of visiting.
