This exhibition has now closed, find out what else is going on at The Fruitmarket Gallery

The gallery's collaborative project with the artist known for work which explores our experience and understanding of landscape.

Bottles of seawater have been arriving at The Fruitmarket Gallery and at the artist's studio since late 2012. These have been collected by a global network of people, drawn in by the idea of bringing all the waters of the world to one place. The sculpture, All the Seas, is the centrepiece of this display.

This is joined by a new publication, Drawing Water: Drawing as a Mechanism for Exploration. which brings together a collection of drawings by others. They are united by the themes of exploration and discovery and the desire to find a way to make sense of the world.
