Witness humanity’s fascination with birds in paint and porcelain.
Flights of Fancy: Birds at Waddesdon will feature a wide-ranging display of porcelain, paintings, drawings and prints to delve deep into the long history of humanity’s fascination with birds.
Notable highlights include the first ever survey of the life and work of the recently rediscovered Louis-Denis Armand, a painter at the world-famous Sèvres porcelain manufactory, and now celebrated as one of the foremost painters of birds. Never-seen-before private collections will be displayed alongside Waddesdon’s own leading array of porcelain bird-art.
