The art of the First World War

Lecture | Les Cotils

Monday 17 March 2014 - 18:30 until 20:30

Gerald Deslandes will argue that the First World War had an even greater effect on visual artist than on the well-known English poets. From the Vorticist gorup to Sir John Lavery, Paul Nash, Stanley Spencer and Henry Moore, he will show the impact the war made on these artists' works and those of their French and German contemporaries.

This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
