Dr Thierry Morel, am Art Historian of Oriel College, Oxford, presents a lecture on 'The Walpole Masterpieces from Catherine the Great's Hermitage'. Dr Morel has worked on TV art documentaries and is an advisor on art provenance.

Sir Robert Walpole, 1st Earl of Oxford, had a magnificent collection of paintings which included works by Rubens, van Dyke and Rembrandt.

There will be refreshments on arrival, with the lecture starting at 11:30 am, followed by a hot two course lunch after the lecture.

This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
