Be inspired by the work of Alan Davie in this two-day tapestry workshop.

Coinciding with our Alan Davie "Beginning of a far off world" exhibition in our gallery, this workshop will lead you through themes and techniques commonly associated with the Alan Davie style.

Aimed at those who have a basic knowledge of tapestry weaving and want to explore different design approaches, this workshop is a rare opportunity to delve into the world of Alan Davie and create your own small tapestry inspired by his work. Experimenting with a range of techniques, you will receive expert tuition from professional weaver Fiona Hutchison, and at the end of the day you are invited to sit back and admire your tapestry with a glass of fizz.

Price: £240

The fee includes all materials and equipment including tapestry yarn, bobbin and loom.

Should participants wish to continue their work at home weaving kits and accessories are available for sale on the day. All attendees will receive a 10% discount in Dovecot Shop.
