Guided tour: Foundling Museum

Guided Tour | Foundling Museum

Thursday 23 April 2015 - 14:00 until 16:00

The Foundling Hospital in London was established in 1739 to rescue abandoned and dying children. Today, it is a museum with fine works of art and memorabilia spanning subsequent centuries, including a painting of the founder donated by William Hogarth. While the original buildings no longer stand many glorious features can still be seen.

The visit from the Bedfordshire Committee coincides with an exhibition of Jacob Epstein bronzes and drawings.

This event has been organised by the Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
