Art in Vienna 1880-1918

Talk | Hall Barn

Wednesday 20 November 2013 - 11:30 until 12:30

Eric Shanes' talk will complement the winter exhibition at the National Gallery, 'Facing the Modern- Portraits in Vienna 1900'. Vienna during this time was once described as 'an experimental laboratory for the end of the world'. Eric will explain why this was so through an examination of the works including those of Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, Gustav Mahler and Richard Gerstl.

This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
