Thenford House Sculpture Garden and Aboretum
Visit | Thenford House
Friday 4 October 2013 - 14:00 until 17:00
Lord and Lady Heseltine are kindly opening their private gardens at Thenford House. The sculpture garden consists of separate 'rooms' displaying contemporary sculpture mainly by British artists. The walled kitchen garden was redesigned in the 1900's by George Carter, the centrepiece being a fountain designed by William Pye. Within the 70 acre arboretum there are over 4000 different species of trees and shrubs.
This event has been organised by the Oxfordshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
