Lecture on English Perceptions of Venice

Dr Rosemarie Dias, lecturer in History of Art at the University of Warwick, will give a talk on the various interpretations of the art and architecture of Venice made by English artists, architects and writers from the 17th to the 20th century. Paintings and drawings by Ruskin, Sargent, Turner and Whistler will be explored, as well as work by English architects and film-makers.
