Powerful images of queer life by a visual activist
Known for documenting and celebrating the lives of South Africa’s Black lesbian, gay, trans, queer and intersex communities, Zanele Muholi is one of the most acclaimed photographers working today and has had their work exhibited all over the world.
In 2020, Tate Modern’s exhibition of South African visual activist Zanele Muholi was cut short due to lockdown. Now, this striking show is set to return and is accompanied by new works, featuring over 260 photographs which provide a sweeping account of their career to date.
