Lecture: What is British Art?

The Director of the Art Fund, Dr. Stephen Deuchar, will give a lecture exploring British art. Stephen was appointed Director in 2009 after stepping down as Director of Tate Britain. There, he was instrumental in forming the new Tate Britain in 2000. Prior to working at the Tate Stephen was curator and exhibitions director at the National Maritime Museum. His interests include contemporary art and 18th century British Art.
In his lecture Stephen will convey his ambitions for the future of the Art Fund. This will be a great opportunity for members to meet and discuss issues with the director.
