Noted in J.G.N. Pevsner and I. Richmond's book Northumberland, the beautiful arts and crafts house of Whitton Grange near Rothbury displays wonderful, extensive Edwardian gardens. Visitors will enjoy an exclusive tour of the gardens and their exotic plants by the property's owners, Maggie and John Monoghan. This visit will follow a tour of the beautiful town of Rothbury, the capital of Coquetdale. The day will end with a trip to Lordenshaws hill fort, where a local expert will explain the origins of the mysterious 'cup and ring' stone markings.
