Private Tour: Vintners' Hall, London

| Vintners' Hall

Situated in the heart of the City, Vintners' Hall is the headquarters of the Vintners' Company, one of the ancient guilds which was first granted a charter in 1363. The medieval, possibly even Saxon, origins of the London Guilds are unknown, but in medieval London the livery companies exercised immense power in social, political and religious spheres. The history of the Vintners is a fascinating story of trade, charity, politics and companionship. See the beautiful hall and learn more about the Guild's history, including the right to be licensed to own swans on the Thames.
