Day Literary Visit to Newstead Abbey and Eastwood, Nottinghamshire

Under direction of West Yorkshire committee member, Roderick Thomson, retired English master at Bradford Grammar School, make two visits to the houses where Byron and DH Lawrence spent their early years. See Lawrence's Birthplace Museum with guide and the Durban House Heritage Centre after a prepaid lunch at the Bistro. In the morning see the Byron family house now owned by the City of Nottingham where Byron spent intermittent periods and left after the failure of his marriage to Annabella Milbanke. These contrasting literary figures will promise to be interesting!
