Dumfries House - The artistic and poetic legacies of Southwest Scotland
An exploration of the Adam brothers legacy in southwest Scotland, concentrating on Dumfries House and Culzean Castle, and further visiting the renowned art collection at Drumlanrig Castle and enjoying a brief Burns encounter in the 250th anniversary year of his birth. This two-night trip is conveniently based in Ayr, once West Scotlandâ€™s foremost port. Ayr retains an interesting collection of buildings from the medieval period through to the late nineteenth century in addition to a fine shoreline with beautiful views across to the Isle of Arran.

Art Fund members may bring a friend or partner who is not a member with them. Entry for Art Fund members is free to Dumfries House. Non-members £15 extra. National Trust or Scottish National Trust members have free entry to Culzean, holiday cost to be reduced by £8.
