| Howden, Wressle and Gunby Hall
A full and varied day, starting with coffee at 10.00am in the Shire Hall, followed by a guided tour of Howden led by Dr.Bernard Nield of Howden Civic Trust. Afterwards there will be a guided visit to Howden Minster led by the Rector, The Rev. James Little. At 1.00pm, a buffet lunch in the Shire Hall before leaving for a rare opportunity to visit the exterior of the ruined Wressle Castle, seat of the Percy Family in East Yorkshire. A short visit to Bubwith Church follows before we have afternoon tea at 4.00pm nearby in the garden of Gunby Hall, the 18th century home of one of our members.
Walking shoes are advised.
