In 1946, just after the end of the Second World War, Christian Dior opened his fashion house in Paris. His first collection in 1947 re-defined the female silhouette and created much controversy. This talk considers Dior’s role in transforming fashion and reflects on the 2019 exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum.

What a glamorous subject for Emma Roberts to lecture on. The committee have enjoyed her fashion related lectures now for a number of years - but nothing equals Dior.
