Behind the scenes - Museum of London, paintings store and print room - 10.30am - SOLD OUT

Visit and Talk | Museum of London

Wednesday 1 June 2016 - 10:30 until 11:30

The Museum of London specialises solely in works relating to the capital and its history. Pat Hardy, curator of paintings, prints and drawings, will present works held in the paintings store that are not on general display. Dating from 1650 to the present day, these include acquisitions supported by the Art Fund such as John O’Connor’s The Embankment (1874), George Hicks’s The General Post Office One Minute to Six (1860) and John Collet’s Covent Garden (c1770). In the print room she will show works from the extensive Power Collection, which also includes paintings by Christopher Nevinson.

This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
