Day Trip: The Wallace Collection

|

Tuesday 22 March 2011 - 08:30 until 19:00

The Wallace Collection features works by Titian, Rembrandt, Hals, and Velasquez as well as an extensive collection of 18th Century French paintings, porcelain and furniture. There are also medieval and Renaissance art works and a fine collection of European and Oriental arms and armour to be enjoyed. Displayed in the sumptious, domestic setting of Hertford House in London, the Wallace Collection is a 'closed collection' of works accrued in the 18th and 19th centuries by the first four Marquesses of Hertford and Sir Richard Wallace, the son of the 4th Marquess. Included in the day is a two course lunch served at the Wallace Brasserie de Luxe.
