Talk and Visit: 'Art during the Medieval and Renaissance period' by Nick Ross and visit to the V&A

| The Art Fund

Wednesday 12 January 2011 - 11:30 until 15:45

A talk by Nick Ross, Director of Art History Abroad, on art during the Medieval and Renaissance period at the Art Fund headquarters at Millais House, followed by a visit to the Victoria & Albert Museum. In December 2009 the V&A opened its new Medieval and Renaissance Galleries to wide acclaim. Ten galleries present the story of European art and design from the Roman Empire to the end of the Renaissance period. Nick Ross has written books on Canaletto and Miro, and in May 2010 was voted No.1 guide in the Daily Telegraph. After meeting Stephen Deuchar, the Director of the Art Fund, the talk and a sandwich lunch at Millais House, there will be a tour of the V&A.
