Private View: The Art of Faith

The Art of Faith is a major loan show from public and private collections around Britain, which celebrates religious art from all faiths across two millennia. It will feature textiles, sculpture, silver, furniture, stained glass and pictures.

The private view will be complemented by the showing of A Passion for Churches, John Betjeman's 1970s celebration of the charm of Norfolk churches and churchgoing. In this classic BBC documentary Betjeman applies his wry but affectionate scrutiny to churches, clergy and parishioners of Norfolk, making it a touching eulogy to both the splendour and simplicity of English parish life. The film will be introduced by the Bishop of Norwich, The Right Reverend Graham James.
