Visit: Cothay Manor and Gardens

| Cothay Manor and Gardens

Alastair and Mary Anne Robb have opened their beautiful gardens for many years but this time is a chance to visit the house too. The 15th Century house contains parts of the 13th Century manor originally built for Adam de Cothay. Medieval wall paintings have survived despite the assault from military jets and helicopters in the late 20th Century. The house was extended in 1609 and again in the 1930s. The Robbs moved to Cathay in 1993 and brought with them some very fine furniture, antique textiles and Chinese ceramics.
