Compton Verney is a Grade 1 listed Robert Adam mansion located in 120 acres of spectacular parkland housing six permanent collections and a programme of special exhibitions. A member of staff will provide background to Compton Verney with a guided tour of the following two special exhibitions:
Georgian Portraits: seeing is believing
This display of portraits on loan from Bath's Holbourne Museum of Art presents an unique opportunity to see the highlights from their collection, including works by Arthur Davies, Angelica Kauffman, Allan Ramsay, Henry Raeburn, George Stubbs and Richard Cosway.
The Artist's Studio
This display takes visitors behind the scenes into the fascinating and often private world of the Studio. It traces the development of and influences on the artist's workspace in Britain from Britain from the 1700s to the present day.
