Bath's Roman Tunnels
| The Roman Baths
Our tour includes the main museum stone store containing material dating from Roman to Victorian times from all parts of Bath and the surrounding area. We will also see the King's Spring borehole, the Georgian vaults under Bath Street and the water pipe that supplies the spa. Rooms of the Roman bath house, and particularly the circular laconium, not open to the public, are included in our tour, together with the chance to handle some of the artefacts stored there.
There is parking at Avon Street, Charlotte Street and the Podium, but those coming from Bristol might like to use the Park and Ride which is highly efficient. As you will appreciate, this trip is not for the infirm. Flat shoes recommended and hard hats will be provided!
