Visit to Porch House, Potterne
| Porch House
A private visit is arranged to Porch House in Potterne. This exquisite half- timbered village house is a remarkably well preserved example of a late 15th century hall house. Weather permitting, it will also be possible to see the outline of the Anglo-Saxon church excavated in the garden. A visit is also planned to St Mary's Church, described by Pevsner as an "Early English church of exceptional purity", celebrating its 750th anniversary this year.
Please note there are several low thresholds inside Porch House requiring some stooping.
