By popular request a return visit is organised to House of Pitmuies for those who missed out on the last year. A visit in mid July will benefit from the mignificent Delphiniums and Roses for which Pitmuies is so famous. House of Pitmuies has been in the Ogilvy family since the late 1500s and has known 3 periods of building. Since Marguerite Ogilvy's husband Farquhar, died in 1983, Marguerite has devoted much of her time to developing the garden which has has links with Scotland's Garden Scheme for more than 70 years.
A simple lunch is planned nearby before travelling south via Dunkeld to see Kennacoil House and gardens the home of Anne Steuart Fothringham. Anne will guide visitors round her interesting collection of Paintings and Silver and give visitors tea.
The Coach will leave Haddington outside the Corn Exchange at 8.30 am. A pick-up point can be arranged for those west of Haddington. The coach will returns by 6.00 pm.
