Visit: Behind the Scenes at the National Theatre

| National Theatre

The idea of creating a national theatre company originated in the late 19th century. However, the National Theatre was not established until 1962, when it took up temporary residence at the Old Vic, and it wasn't until 1976 that it was finally able to move to its present home on the South Bank.

This guided tour will explore the National Theatre's prestigious history and will offer an opportunity to visit its three auditoriums, scenic workshops, and front-of-house and backstage areas.
