Artist Mat Collishaw talks to Elizabeth Oldfield, presenter of The Sacred podcast about the inspiration behind his work for the Faith Museum, Eidolon.
Mat Collishaw is a key figure in the important generation of British artists that emerged from Goldsmiths’ College in the late 1980s. Since his first solo exhibition in 1990 has exhibited widely internationally and has created the Faith Museum’s first contemporary installation, Eidolon, a meditation on faith, suffering and rebirth.
Elizabeth Oldfield, former Director of the Theos think tank, hosts The Sacred, a podcast about our deepest values, the stories that shape us, and how we can build empathy and understanding between people who are very different.
This is a Faith Museum event, held in the Throne Room of Auckland Castle. Includes entry to the Faith Museum.
