This two day workshop will guide you through the painting of a popular wildlife subject, the Eagle Owl, with a portrait study in acrylics.

Tackling this subject will introduce participants to the tutor's techniques for painting eyes and feathers as well as applying glazes and layers and the fine details that are a feature of her wildlife art and illustration. Participants will leave with a better grasp of this versatile medium and how to progress a painting from drawing to final brush strokes.

The course will appeal to those looking to achieve an understanding of working in acrylics or who have already tried acrylics and want to learn more. Kim is a considerate and encouraging tutor and will bring a relaxed approach to the two days.

Nature in Art runs courses throughout the year covering a variety of subjects and mediums, catering for all levels from beginners to advanced.

Most courses are run by practicing artists who have work in our collection and/or have been an artist in residence at Nature in Art. The courses are held in our purpose built education centre. Class sizes are kept between 6-12 people to ensure you receive individual attention from the tutor whilst enjoying the social aspect of working alongside others.

(On the next page, only the first day of the course will be available for selection. Please select this day and proceed with your booking. You will be booked onto the whole 2 day course).
