A visit to Acton Round Hall by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Thomas Kennedy, including a demonstration of the specialist material Scagliola, popular in Italian baroque buildings in the 17th century and imitated throughout Europe until the 19th century, a medium currently used by the Kennedys at the Kennedy Design Studios.

In the afternoon a visit to a private property in Shifnal, commissioned to be built in 1764 by Plowden Slaney; Hatton Grange is one of the finest surviving houses by the Shrewsbury architect Thomas Farnolls Pritchard, most famous for designing the world's first iron bridge in Coalbrookdale, but also renowned for domestic interiors, Powis Castle and Shipton Hall.

This event has been organised by the Shropshire Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
