Talk by Paul Atterbury of Antiques Road Show at Danny House in Hurstpierpoint

Talk | Danny House

Wednesday 23 November 2016 - 14:00 until 16:00

Paul has been a leading light on the Antiques Road Show for more than thirty years and has agreed to talk about the good, the bad and the ugly that have passed through his hands during his time on this classic British televised show.

After 'Tales from the Roadshow', and weather permitting, there will be tea and cakes in the rose garden made by the cook at Danny House and an opportunity to look around this magnificent Elizabethan mansion that dates from 1586. The house has many historical links, the main one being in 1918 when it was rented for three months by Prime Minister Lloyd George and where on 13 October they agreed terms of the Armistice to be offered to Germany at the end of the Great War.

This event has been organised by the Sussex Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
