Organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee

The Company of Watermen and Lightermen SOLD OUT

Visit | The Company Of Watermen & Lightermen

Monday 21 September 2015 - 10:30 until 12:00

Watermen’s and Lightermen’s Hall is the only surviving Georgian guildhall in the City of London. In 2014 the Watermen’s Company celebrated the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII’s assent to the Act of Parliament, regulating their activities on the river. Today it is still actively involved in the life of the Thames and of those who work there. The Assistant Clerk will be on hand to lead our tour of the Hall and to give us an insight into the Company’s fascinating history.

This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
