Organised by the Essex Volunteer Fundraising Committee

The Higgins Gallery, Bedford

Guided Tour | The Higgins Museum and Art Gallery

Thursday 23 July 2015 - 11:00 until 17:30

The refitted Higgins Gallery in Bedford houses print and decorative art collections of international significance, including major works by William Burges and Edward Bawden. A showpiece of the redevelopment is the William Burges Gallery with painted furniture designed by the architect, including the Zodiac Settle (1869-1871). The new Edward Bawden Gallery brings together the artist's prints, watercolours and textiles. This special tour provides the opportunity to handle objects not usually on public display.

This event has been organised by the Essex Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
