Guildhall Art Gallery (Behind-the-scenes) afternoon SOLD OUT

Guided Tour | Guildhall Art Gallery

Monday 2 March 2015 - 14:30 until 16:30

This is a curator-led tour of the internationally renowned art collections of the City of London Corporation. Spanning some 300 years, they range from seventeenth century-portraits, fascinating paintings documenting London’s history, and a comprehensive display of fine Victorian paintings including Pre-Raphaelite masterpieces by Dante Gabriel Rossetti and Lawrence Alma-Tadema. The tour is followed by a behind-the-scenes visit to the Gallery’s Art Store to see a selection of rarely exhibited watercolours by Victorian artists such as John Everett Millais (including his beautiful study for ‘Lorenzo and Isabella’ his first work in the Pre-Raphaelite style) and John Gilbert.

This event has been organised by the London Events Volunteer Fundraising Committee to help raise money for the Art Fund.
