Emery Walker's House and Kelmscott House (am)

Visit | Emery Walker's House

Wednesday 3 July 2013 - 11:00 until 13:30

A guided tour of the last authentic Arts & Crafts interior in Britain – the decoration and furnishings of 7 Hammersmith Terrace are preserved as in the lifetime of the printer Emery Walker (1851-1933), a great friend and mentor to William Morris – together with, about 10 minutes’ walk along the river, a curator-led private view of the William Morris Society’s archive at Kelmscott House, giving a fascinating insight into Morris and rare access to original designs, wallpapers, textiles and Kelmscott Press material. Members will be notified at which house their tour will start. We regret there is no disabled access.

This event has been organised by a local supporter group to help raise money for the Art Fund.
