Visit: Chatham Royal Dockyard

From Tudor times until late in the 20th century Chatham Dockyard has built and repaired ships for the Royal Navy. Nelson's HMS Victory was launched at Chatham in 1765. The dockyard is now a huge museum covering a large site. Have a general guided tour on foot, visiting the main buildings and in the afternoon take a tour of some of the recently restored parts not generally open to the public. There will be time to visit the other attractions such as the three warships ranging from the Victorian to the Modern era.
