Cobham Hall, a beautiful brick mansion was built by the Cobham family in the late C16th, since when it has had additions notably by John Webb and James Wyatt. It has splendid interiors including marble fireplaces and the magnificent Gilt Hall with its elaborate gilded plasterwork ceiling. After a guided tour and lunch, explore the landscaped park and gardens, originally designed by Humphrey Repton, and recently restored. There is an optional visit to the Darnley Mausoleum also recently restored, now owned by the National Trust.
