The Bowes Museum’s late-night event returns on for an atmospheric evening of art, creativity and culture after hours. Visitors can explore the museum at night and choose from creative workshops inspired by the museum’s three current exhibitions, expert talks on the night sky, behind-the-scenes tours and entertainment throughout the evening.

Stay for the full programme or simply soak up the after-dark atmosphere while dining, enjoying drinks from the Picture Gallery Bar and browsing the museum shop. Activities included with general admission include the Wonder Dome planetarium, silent disco, artist workshops, behind-the-scenes talks and tours, sketching prompts, spoken-word performances and special Silver Swan performances.

For those wanting a more hands-on experience, ticketed upgrades include a landscape framing workshop and Brush & Bubbles, a painting and dining session in the galleries.
