Artist-led making sessions for children to explore creative techniques, materials and ideas together.
Artist Makers is a series of relaxed, hands-on creative sessions for children aged 5+ at The Bowes Museum. Led by local artists, designers and makers, each workshop introduces young participants to a range of materials, techniques and approaches, from painting and sculpture to other imaginative making processes.
Children can experiment, develop confidence and enjoy creating in a welcoming and inspiring environment. Taking place every Saturday and Wednesday during the summer holidays, Artist Makers encourages curiosity and creativity through artist-led activity in the museum’s Create Space.
Ideal for families looking for engaging activities, the sessions offer a fun opportunity for children to be inspired by practicing artists.
Included in museum admission. Under 18, full time students and carers go free.
