A workshop for curious young people aged 10–16 who enjoy asking questions, looking closely and thinking creatively.
Inspired by objects from the Impressions of Light exhibition, including artworks exploring clouds and weather, participants will investigate the stories behind museum objects before experimenting with creative techniques to design and make their own work.
Wonder Workshop explores The Bowes Museum’s collection through art, science, technology, engineering and maths, from how mechanisms work to the meaning of symbols in paintings and the history of well-known pieces such as the Silver Swan. This session encourages young people to make connections, explore ideas and dig deeper.
Included in museum admission. Under 18, full time students and carers go free.
