The museum celebrates Market Harborough’s history as a centre of trade and industry at the crossroads between Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.

The museum reopened on the first floor of the historic Symington corset factory in spring 2014, after a period of refurbishment.

Permanent collection

The permanent collection includes films by the Market Harborough Movie Makers, an exploration of the Battle of Naseby and of life in Harborough during the wars, exhibits from Harborough's industrial past, 17th-century toys found in the local church, a boot and shoe making workshop and a display about working in the corset factory.
