Trevor Nelson on Michael Jackson: On The Wall

Published 25 July 2018

We caught up with DJ and broadcaster Trevor Nelson, who talked to us about his passion for the King of Pop and why the National Portrait Gallery's latest exhibition devoted to the icon is one of the must-see shows of the summer.

Trevor Nelson is a DJ and broadcaster from London. A long-time champion of RnB and urban music, he began his career at Kiss in 1985, worked closely with Soul II Soul, and went on to work for the BBC. He currently hosts an eponymous show on BBC Radio 1Xtra and Rhythm Nation on BBC Radio 2.

Michael Jackson: On The Wall – which explores, for the first time, the influence of Michael Jackson on contemporary artists – is at the National Portrait Gallery until 21 October 2018. There is 50% off entry with your National Art Pass.
