Exploring the ways in which artists have used neon lighting, from the 1960s to the present.

Uniting the most internationally recognised neon works of the last 40 years, the show includes pieces by Tracey Emin, Gavin Turk, and Joseph Kosuth. The Grundy has also commissioned new outdoor installations from Fiona Banner, Tim Etchells, Graham Fagen and Paulina Olowska.

The exhibition coincides with the Blackpool’s Illuminations, a lighting display that is six miles long and which has been taking place on the promenade for over the course of a century.
