A display of the artist's contemporary sculpture, including new works made specifically for this exhibition.

Whether working in painting, printmaking, installation, digital or – as in this case – sculpture, Michael Craig-Martin's works share a common use of bold colour and minimal lines, as well as a focus on commonplace objects.

Here, the Chatsworth gardens display his sculptural renderings of umbrellas, bulbs, gates and shoes, which both seem to blend in to, and be at odds with the historic backdrop.

Inside the house meanwhile, Craig-Martin has picked out a complementary assortment of sculpture from the Devonshire Collection for display, as well as portraits for the Old Master Drawings Cabinet which includes works by Hans Holbein, Annibale Carracci and Ghirlandaio.
