Museum Visit | All Saints Building

Monday 23 October 2017 - 10:45 until 15:30

This will be an introduction to the unique and varied collections and archives at the library.

Early greeting cards and scrap albums, beautiful examples of 19th and 20th century book design, historical recipe books, Arts and Crafts designs, textiles, contemporary craft.

You will see examples of these and more in one of Manchester’s hidden gems - the Special Collections at Manchester Metropolitan University.

After this visit we will lunch at the Whitworth’s café in the trees followed by a talk from a curator on the stunning exhibition Cozens and Cozens – the eminent father and son 18th century water colourists. You will see some beautiful drawings and water colours including the sketchbooks of Alexander Cozens.
